What the Site is
The Site describes Bessemer Legacy's consulting services, shares case studies and insights, and lets you request a 15-minute fit call. It is an informational website. It is not a software platform, does not require an account, and takes no payments. The Site is intended for use by businesses and their representatives.
These Terms and client engagements
These Terms cover the Site only. Any consulting services we provide are governed by a separate written agreement, such as a proposal, statement of work, or engagement letter, signed by Bessemer Legacy and the client. If these Terms conflict with a signed engagement agreement, the engagement agreement controls for that engagement.
Requesting a fit call does not create an engagement. Submitting the form, speaking with us, or receiving a written proposal does not make Bessemer Legacy your consultant or create any obligation on either side. An engagement begins only when both parties sign an agreement.
Fit-call requests
When you submit a fit-call request, you agree that:
- The information you provide is accurate and you are authorized to provide it on behalf of your company.
- We may contact you by email or phone about your request and about working together, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
- We may decline any request, for any reason, without explanation. The fit call is a mutual assessment.
- Anything you share before an engagement agreement is signed is shared at your discretion. We treat inquiry details as confidential as a matter of practice, but a formal confidentiality obligation exists only under a signed agreement, which we are glad to put in place before any deeper discussion.

No professional advice
Content on the Site, including articles, case studies, checklists, and descriptions of our methods, is provided for general information. It is not legal, financial, tax, accounting, or other professional advice, and it is not advice tailored to your business. Results described in case studies reflect specific clients and circumstances and do not guarantee similar outcomes for you. Decisions you make based on Site content are your own; obtain advice from a qualified professional where the decision warrants it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.
- Submit false, misleading, or spam requests through our forms, or submit requests using automated means.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the Site's security or bot-protection measures, or probe, scan, or test the Site's or its service providers' vulnerability.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect content or data from the Site, including for training machine-learning models, without our written permission.
- Introduce malware or otherwise disrupt the Site, its hosting, or the services behind it.
- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
We may block access or take other reasonable steps in response to conduct that threatens the Site, our service providers, or other visitors.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, images, page designs, and the Bessemer Legacy name and marks, are owned by Bessemer Legacy or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view, download, and print Site content for your own internal, non-commercial evaluation of our services. Any other reproduction, distribution, modification, or public display requires our prior written permission. Nothing on the Site grants you any license to our marks or content by implication or otherwise.
Client names, logos, and marks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used to describe our work with them.
Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Site or our services, you agree we may use them without restriction or compensation. This does not apply to information you share under a signed engagement or confidentiality agreement.
Third-party sites and services
The Site links to third-party websites, including LinkedIn and hireware.co, a hiring-operations product built by Bessemer Legacy that operates under its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites, and linking to them is not an endorsement. The Site also relies on third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, form handling, email, and bot protection; those providers are described in the Privacy Policy.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on the Site, how we use it, the cookies and analytics we run, and the choices you have. It is part of these Terms.
Disclaimers
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE OF ERRORS OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BESSEMER LEGACY AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, and they do not limit liability under a signed engagement agreement, which is governed by that agreement.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bessemer Legacy and its members, managers, employees, contractors, and partners from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or any information you submit through the Site.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at info@bessemerlegacy.com and to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. To the extent permitted by law, any claim relating to the Site must be brought within one year after it arises.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with its effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Bessemer Legacy about the Site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets.
